ESSEX, Md. (WMAR) - Police have arrested Darian Rashaad Walker, 19, and charged him for the Essex murder of Tiffany Ragle.

On June 27, just before 5:30 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Garden Drive for reports of a gunshot victim. Ragle, 30, was found lying on the floor of a ground floor apartment where she lived.

She had been shot multiple times.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Walker had taken a taxi cab to the apartment shortly before the homicide. Ragle and Walker knew each other and had exchanged phone calls shortly before her death.

Detectives believe Walker shot Ragle inside her apartment, but have not yet determined a motive for the murder and the exact relationship between the two.

Walker has been charged with first degree murder and is currently being held without bail.
