Couple engaged in public sex attacked by masturbating man

On the rooftop of a Towson parking garage, police say a man and woman were having sex.

"It seems a little ridiculous.  It's cold out," said Ericka Morterud, Junior, Towson University.

But the story doesn't stop there.

"I still think that it's really even worse that there's a guy going around j***ing off looking at other people," said Marcy Babentreier, a Towson University junior.    

Baltimore County police say it gets more serious.  The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.  The couple ran in different directions when they spotted the man masturbating. 

The male victim went from the eighth floor down to the third where he ran into the suspect again, who pointed a knife and started yelling.

"Maybe he wanted them to stick around," said Babentreier.

Darryl Walker works in the offices below.

"Generally, there's 24-hour security; however, there's no one in the booth downstairs to take tickets or to pay so you can come in and out as easily or as freely as you'd like," said Walker.

The victim was not stabbed.  The man called police from the garage; the woman was interviewed on the phone.

They admitted to indecent exposure but police say no charges will be filed.

"They should take a little more precaution and figure out where they're going to do things late at night," said Ericka Morterud, junior, Towson University.

The garage is on Pennsylvania Ave. near York Rd., close to Towson University but not right on campus.

"We really have to watch what we're doing around here, especially if we're in some sort of public place," said Michelle Kobilis, senior, Towson University

Towson University put out a crime alert.  There's not much information on the suspect tonight.
