TOWSON, Md. - Baltimore County Police Chief James Johnson , who chairs the National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence, will participate today in a meeting with White House officials on gun violence.

Johnson and several other leaders of law enforcement organizations were invited to meet with Vice President Joseph Biden and with President Obama's cabinet members to discuss proposals for curbing gun violence.

On Monday, President Obama charged Vice President Biden with leading the administration's effort to develop a variety of proposals for dealing with the problem of gun violence.
