COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) - Baltimore County Police have arrested and charged a 38-year-old woman after they say she broke into an elderly woman's home where she beat and robbed her.

Lenny Carela is currently being held without bail on first degree assault and 12 other counts in connection with the July 30 home invasion in the unit block of Valley Crossing Circle.

Carela is charged with breaking into the home of a 74-year-old woman while she was out walking her dog. The victim returned to her home shortly after 8:00 a.m. to find Carela inside.

Carela was holding the victim's purse and cell phone. The victim confronted Carela, and a physical fight between the two ensued.

Carela attempted to choke the woman, threatened her with a knife and dragged her to the basement.
