TOWSON, Md. - A man was shot and six people were arrested in Towson Saturday night as a party turned violent.
Baltimore County Police spokesman said that a fraternity party at the Recher Theater on York Road kept police in the area busy until early Sunday, with numerous reports of fights breaking out .
Police said around 1:15 a.m. a man who had been shot in the hand flagged down a police officer near Towson Circle. Police said he was shot in the Trader Joe's parking lot. The man was taken to Sinai where he underwent surgery Sunday morning.
In addition to the shooting there were six arrests; three for secondary assault; 2 for disorderly conduct and one for drug possession.
None of those arrested were Towson University students, police said.
