BALTIMORE, Md. - The Office of the State Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy on the body of an unidentified woman, which was found by volunteers cleaning up Leakin Park over the weekend.

Baltimore police spokesman Detective Jeremy said the severely decomposing body of an adult, African-American woman was discovered near the 4900 block of North Franklintown Road on Saturday about 11 a.m.

There were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play, according to Silbert. The State Medical Examiner's office will attempt to determine the woman's identity and the cause of death.
