Woman arrested in 2009 murder

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Baltimore City Police made an arrest in a 2009 murder in West Baltimore.

Sherrell Ferguson, 31, of the 900 block of Painted Post Road in Pikesville was arrested in connection to the murder of 26-year-old Eric Pendergrass of the 3400 block of Avondale Ave.
 
Pendergrass was killed by asphyxiation and found dead in the water off of the 200 block of West Patapsco Avenue.
 
Baltimore Police tell ABC2 News that they also have warrants that charge 36-year-old Donta Vaughn and 37-year-old Darryl Nichols with murder in the case.
 
The incident happened in February of 2009.
 
Ferguson is being charged with the following:
  • first and second degree murder
  • conspiracy to commit murder
  • first and second degree assault
  • kidnapping, and
  • false imprisonment
She is now being held at central booking and is awaiting trial
