Violent Saturday morning in Baltimore City

BALTIMORE, Md. (WMAR) - Saturday morning was a violent one in Baltimore City.

Baltimore City Police reported four shootings, one of them fatal, in a span of just 2 ½ hours.

Police said around 2:00 a.m officers were called to the 2500 block of Edgecomb Circle North for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot several times. The man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive, according to reports.

A half hour later Western District officers were called to the 300 block of Gold Street where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as Maurice McCoy, 28, was taken to Shock Trauma where he died at 3:19 a.m. The second victim, identified only as a 26-year-old man,  is expected to live.

Police said around 5:24 a.m. a man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. The man told police he was shot in the 1800 block of Orleans Street.

Police are investigating the shootings.
