BALTIMORE -

A man is dead and another hospitalized after two separate shootings in Baltimore.

Police said officers were called to the 3000 block of Elgin Avenue in Walbrook around 10:12 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting. Police said the victim, who had been shot multiple times, was pronounced dead just three minutes later.

Authorities believe the man was walking on Elgin Avenue when someone shot him and fled the scene.

Police are also investigating an east side shooting that sent a thirty-year-old man to the hospital. The man was shot multiple times around 1:45 a.m. in the 300 block of E. North Avenue.  The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
