BALTIMORE - Police in Baltimore City are scouring the area looking for a car thief who ran inside a school building after jumping from a stolen car.
Baltimore City School spokeswoman, Edie House-Foster says shortly after 3:00 p.m., a suspect that was being followed by police in a stolen car, jumped from the vehicle and ran into a school in the 2500 block of East Northern Parkway.
Two schools share the same campus on Northern Parkway, Friendship Academy and NACA II, but police aren't sure which one the suspect ran into.
NACA II was placed on lockdown immediately following the incident, but after a sweep of the building, the students have gone home.
At this point, police are still searching for the car thief.
