Baltimore City police are investigating two shootings that happened over the weekend.
Police said around 1:30 p.m. Saturday officers were called to the 2900 block of McElderry Street in Southeast Baltimore for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot in the back.
The victim told police he was parked in the 500 block of Streeper Street when he was approached by someone wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask who shot him. After being shot the victim ran to the 2900 block of Streeper Street. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
Authorities said the motive may have been robbery.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said another man was shot in the head in West Baltimore early Sunday morning. Officers found the man laying in the front yard of a home in the 2600 block of Lauretta Avenue around midnight. A bullet grazed the man’s head and he was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
