Police search for carjacking suspects

BALTIMORE - Baltimore police are investigating a carjacking that occurred last Friday in northeast Baltimore.

According to police, just after 11:00 p.m. on February 11, officers were called to the 2700 block of Hamilton Avenue for a report of a carjacking. When they arrived a woman told them that while she was parking two men flashed a gun and forced her out of her car. She complied and the suspects fled in her vehicle.

The car was found abandoned a short time later in the 5500 block of Hamlet Avenue, police said.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, 16-22 years-old, approximately 5'8",  with a thin build wearing a black ski-mask, red hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans and brandishing a dark-colored revolver with a long barrel.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 5'8", thin build, wearing a black sweatshirt and dark-colored jeans .

Police said the suspects are believed to be driving a newer model Buick maroon four-door sedan with tinted windows. 

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to called Northeast District detectives at 410-396-2444. Residents are asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
