BALTIMORE - A Baltimore man arrested early Tuesday on assault and theft charges is believed to have committed other crimes in the area, city police said.
Katrell Smith, who is being held in Central Booking, "is believed to have committed a series of violent crimes, putting people's lives in danger," said Lt. Eric Kowalczyk, a city police spokesman. Police said that Smith, who has an extensive criminal record, is a dangerous individual who is capable of acts of extreme violence.
Police are asking for assistance in their investigation into Smith. Anyone with information on crimes he may have committed is asked to contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-8667LOCKUP.
