BALTIMORE - Police have identified the man who threatened police with a blowtorch during a standoff Friday night.
Police said 45-year-old Sean Lee, of Baltimore was arrested on several assault charges, malicious destruction of property and first degree arson.
According to Anthony Guglielmi, spokesman for the Baltimore City Police Department, officers responded to the Kirkwood House Senior Living Facility in the 6400 block of Loch Raven Blvd. around 8:30 p.m. Police said Lee barricaded himself in his apartment in the high rise building. Residents were evacuated as the scene unfolded.

Guglielmi confirmed that the suspect blasted a makeshift flamethrower which started a fire. Police fired shots back, but the bullets missed the suspect.
According to Chief Kevin Cartwright, spokesperson for the Baltimore City Fire Department, crews originally responded to the scene for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they realized that there had not been a shooting, Cartwright said.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, and two units remained on the scene for safety precautions.
There is no word on if anyone was injured.
