BALTIMORE - A police officer on patrol in West Baltimore found a man shot and lying in the street Monday afternoon, police say.
The officer was in the 1100-block of North Stricker Street at around 1:15 p.m. when he found the man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital and immediately taken into surgery.
Due to the severity of the man's condition, police say homicide detectives were called to investigate.
Police are asking anyone who has information about this crime to call detectives at (410) 396-2100.
