BALTIMORE (WMAR) - UPDATE | Baltimore City Police have identified the man killed in a police-involved shooting in the 2700 block of Edmonson Street. 23-year-old Larry Hooker of the 900 block of North Ashburton Street was shot and killed Monday evening, police say.
The two foot patrol officers involved in the shooting are Lester Manuyag and Alejandro Pena. Both officers have been placed on routine administrative leave.
Detectives have arrested and charged 21-year-old Ricky Dixon of the 1200 block of Oakhurst Place with attempted first degree murder and other related charges.
Two people were hurt and one killed in an overnight shooting said a Baltimore City Police spokesperson.
At about 10:00 p.m. Monday night in the 2700 block of Edmondson Avenue in West Baltimore two officers on foot patrol heard and saw shots coming from a car with several people inside.
People inside the car were firing in a direction away from the officers. The officers then "engaged" the suspects and shot three of them.
One of the people shot is now dead.
Police say that one of the suspects has a prior arrest, and that they are looking into possible gang activity.
Police also looking at area hospitals to see if anyone walked in who may have been shot by the suspects in the car. They haven't found anyone yet.
