BALTIMORE, Md. - Baltimore City Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night in Northern Baltimore.

Police said that just before 8:00 p.m. officers were called to the 5700 block of Chinquapin Parkway in the Glen Oak Community for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived they found and a 29-year-old man shot in the upper back. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is in stable condition, police said.

A preliminary investigation found that the shooting may have stemmed from an attempted robbery.
