Man shot during attempted robbery

BALTIMORE (WMAR) -  

City Police are investigating an attempted robbery that resulted in a shooting. 
 
Police say the victim, a 29-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg during the incident in the 300 block of McMechen Street. 
 
The victim was approached by an unknown black male from behind, who was described as being in his 20's and wearing a grey jacket. 
 
The suspect attempted to rob the victim, but a struggle ensued and as the victim pushed away from the suspect, he was shot. 
 
The victim then ran to Eutaw Place where he called police. 
 
Police have not released any additional suspect information, but anyone with any information is asked to call police.
