BALTIMORE (WMAR) -

A 49-year-old man is now facing up to six life terms in prison for the repeated rape of a teenager in a vacant home.

Alvin Ray Wright, Sr., was convicted today for repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl in a vacant East Baltimore home in 2011.

On October 17, 2011, Wright grabbed the girl from behind as she was walking in the 800 block of North Caroline Street, pulled her into a vacant home and pushed her down.

Since there was no floor on the first floor, the victim fell about 6 feet to the basement floor. When she hit the floor, her eyeglasses fell off and landed in a pile of debris.

Wright followed.

Wright beat the girl and threatened to kill her if she made any noise. He alternated between raping her and ordering her to perform fellatio, three times each.

When the girl dropped her cell phone, Wright picked it up, warned her not to call police and then dropped it himself before climbing back up to the first level and out of the house.

Genetic material recovered during an exam of the victim matched Wright in the Maryland DNA database.

After about 2 hours of deliberations, a jury convicted Wright of three counts of first degree rape, three counts of first degree sex offense and one count of first degree assault.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 15, 2013, and faces a maximum of 6 life terms plus 25 years in prison.
