BALTIMORE - City police are searching for clues after a man was gunned down just one week shy of his 29th birthday.

Gregory Kearney was born on Valentines Day.

Police were called to the 900-block of East Preston Street just before 5 p.m. Monday. When they arrived they found a large crowd surrounding Kearney. He was lying on the pavement.

Kearney was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died minutes later.

Police say they have no motive or suspect information at this time.

Police are also investigating a shooting that happened later that same night in Northeast Baltimore.

A man was found in a home in the 800-block of Cator Avenue just before 9 p.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm. He was taken to an area hospital, treated, and released. Police say he was actually shot a few blocks away on Dunbarton Avenue.

Police say they are still searching for suspects in this shooting as well.
