BALTIMORE - Homicide detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in East Baltimore late Tuesday afternoon.
According to Baltimore City Police, at 3:52 p.m. officers and paramedics responded to the 800 block of Abbott Court for a female who was apparently shot.
Police found a woman who was suffering from a gunshot wound to her torso. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead by the attending doctor, police say.
The victim was identified as Gwendolyn Johnson, 24, from the 2000 block of Hoffman Street.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 410-396-2100.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate this fatal shooting.
