BALTIMORE - A female cab driver was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery Saturday morning, police said.
Authorities said around 3:30 a.m. a 57-year-old female cab driver was shot in the chest during what police think may be a botched robbery in the 3100 block of Swann Dr. in north Baltimore. Police said the cab driver picked up two women and a man and drove them to Swann Dr. , outside of Druid Hill Park, where she was shot. The woman was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
About two hours earlier , officers were called to the 300 block of Eutaw St. for an unrelated shooting. When officers arrived they found a 25-year-old man shot several times in the face and back. The man was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Police do not have a motive, but describe the suspect as a young man between 16 and 22 years old, wearing glasses, a black face mask and a black sweatshirt with three stripes on the sleeves.
Police are investigating both shootings.
