BALTIMORE (AP) - Federal prosecutors say would-be armed robbers discussed killing an undercover ATF agent and taking his share of the spoils from their planned robbery of a fictional drug trafficking group's stash house.
Court documents released Friday state that one of the six men now facing federal drug and weapons charges after a raid on Thursday suggested to another that they kill the agent who was posing as an employee of the fictional traffickers. Documents state he suggested they kill him after the robbery and take his share of the stolen cocaine.
The raid caught the public's attention when a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent fired at the driver of a fleeing car, striking the suspect in the shoulder. The suspect was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
