Father charged in 1-month old's death

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Baltimore City Police have arrested and charged a 20-year-old father in the death of his baby boy. 

Police responded to the 300 block of East 22nd Street on Monday for reports of a non-breathing infant. Emergency personnel transported the 1-month-old baby, Kearrie Dion Ware to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. 
 
The Medical Examiner determined that the baby died from blunt force trauma and the manner of his death was ruled a homicide. 
 
At the time of the incident, police say both of the baby's parents were home. 
 
Dion Kearrie Ware, the baby's father has been charged with second degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and 2 counts of child abuse.
