BALTIMORE -
Baltimore City Police are investigating a double shooting that left a man dead, officials said.
Police said Avon Ball, 26 of Walbrook Avenue died after he was shot in the head and upper torso early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the intersection of Madison Ave. and W. Preston St. just before 2:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found Ball and another man suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital where Ball died of his injuries. The second man is in critical condition.
Homicide detectives have a person of interest in custody. A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting resulted from an argument at a night club.
Police are investigating.
