BALTIMORE - Homicide detectives were called after a man was found suffering from several gunshot wounds in East Baltimore Friday evening.
According to Baltimore City Police, at approximately 6:16 p.m. officers and paramedics responded to the 2000 block of Orleans Street for reports of a shooting.
When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they found 22-year-old Thomas Carter suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Carter's last known address was in the 700 block of North Kenwood Avenue.
Early discoveries in the investigation revealed Carter was approached by a black man who fired numerous shots that struck him multiple times.
Carter was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:28 p.m.
