BALTIMORE (WMAR) -- A second person has been arrested and charged in the death of a 1-year-old boy.
The boy died following a shooting in Cherry Hill Friday evening, and the child's father remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
Baltimore City Police say the crime scene stretched between the 1200 and 1700 block of Cherry Hill Road in South Baltimore. An additional crime scene was being investigated on Winchester Street in West Baltimore.
The one-year-old boy has been identified as Carter Scott.
According to police, a gunman approached the victim's car and opened fire.
Officers arrested and charged Eddie Tarver of the 200 block of Cherry Hill Road. Tarver faces several charges, including first degree murder. A second man, Cornell Harvey was also charged in the shooting. He faces charges of murder and attempted murder as well as other related charges.
Police do not believe the incident was random.
