"This would be one of the last neighborhoods i would suspect that would happen," said Jesse Vaughan, a Bolton Hill resident.
Baltimore Police say the 1600 block of Bolton Street was the meet up on Monday night. Two buyers came with cash for a car.
"The victims brought a large amount of cash with them and once they got to the location the suspects, two black male suspects, announced a robbery. They displayed a handgun," said Anthony Guglielmi, Baltimore Police spokesman.
Police say 30-year-old Keyna Oduyoye was with a man but she fought back.
"The second victim pulled out a handgun and fired it indiscriminately into the air. That scared off the suspects. They began to run. The victim began to chase them, shooting indiscriminately. Multiple rounds were fired," said Guglielmi.
Fortunately, no one in the neighborhood was hit. But Oduyoye was booked and charged with handgun violations.
Vaughan has used Craig's List to sell and buy.
"Most of the time, I'll set up a meeting somewhere public. That's also a thing that makes me feel a lot safer about it is like not meeting at my house or at their house," said Vaughan.
It is the second Craig's List robbery in just two days. Police think they are connected and the sellers may be setting up their next target.
No suspects have been arrested. If you use Craig's List, which often requires a meeting place for the buyer and seller, police suggest you meet in a public place, not a neighborhood street.
Also, use a cashier's check. This way police are able to track down a suspect if it's cashed.
