19-year-old charged in deadly shooting

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Baltimore City Homicide Investigators say they have charged a 19-year-old in a murder that occurred on West Pratt Street three months ago.

Arthur Holt is facing several charges for murdering  Tavon Welchel of the 200 block of South Pulaski Street.

Police say Wechel was shot several times in his torso.

The shooting happened in the 2100 block of West Pratt Street on June 19th.

Holt is facing the following charges:

  • First degree murder
  • Second degree murder
  • First degree assault
  • Second degree assault
  • Handgun on person
  • Firearm use/fel-violent crime
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Discharging firearm
