BALTIMORE (WMAR) - One man is dead and another injured in two separate overnight shootings in Baltimore City.
According to police, officers were called to the 2600 block of Kent Street in South Baltimore at 10:06 Saturday night. When officers arrived they found a 38-year-old man lying on the corner of Kent Street and Cedley Street who has been shot several times.
The man was taken to Shock Trauma where he died at 10:46 p.m.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
Another shooting took place just before 3 o’clock in the morning in northeast Baltimore. Officers were called to the 1700 block of Chilton street at 2:45 a.m. where they found a 31-year-old man who had been shot in the groin.
The victim told police he was walking on Chilton Street when an unknown man approached, pulled a gun and shot him. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition.
Northeast detectives are investigating.
