BALTIMORE - One person is dead and two others wounded after a domestic situation and police involved shooting in Canton.
Baltimore City Police Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi says the incident happened overnight in the 3400 block of Foster Avenue in Canton.
Police were called to the area for a domestic dispute around 11:30 p.m. When they got there they found a man and woman fighting, police dealt with the situation and left.
Later in the night, a group of plain clothes officers patrolling in the area heard gunshots. When they got to the home, a 42-year-old man came out and started shooting at officers with a handgun. Three officers then shot the suspect.
In the home, police found two women already shot, they believe by the suspect. Those two were taken to the hospital where they are expected to survive.
The three officers involved were placed on administrative leave as per department policy and the incident is under investigation.
