Woman sexually assaulted in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County Police are looking for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman Saturday.

Just before 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Sigfrid Court in Annapolis for a report of a possible sexual assault that had occurred earlier that afternoon at another location.

The victim told officers that she was walking along Generals Highway near Rams Head Bar when a man driving a gray pickup truck offered her a ride, which she accepted.

According to the victim, the man stopped on the on the shoulder and physically assaulted. The woman was able to break free and run into a wooded area along Generals Highway, but the suspect chased after her and caught up and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40's, about 6'0", 170 pounds, clean shaven with blond hair and brown eyes wearing a light blue t-shirt and khaki pants.
