GLEN BURNIE, Md. -
Police are searching for a suspect in the attempted abduction Monday night of a woman in Glen Burnie, who was accosted on the side of the road.

According to police, officers from the Northern District responded to the area of 5th Avenue and Delmar Avenue in Glen Burnie for a report of an attempted abduction.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 27-year-old female victim, who advised that a male suspect driving a white work van accosted her on the side of the road. The suspect reportedly tried to pull the victim into the van. The victim was able to struggle free and run away. The victim was not injured in the incident. Patrol, K-9 and Aviation canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described by police as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-years-old with short, black hair and white paint on his arm, wearing a blue and white shirt and light, blue jeans. The man was driving a white work van with and ladder rack holding one ladder, tinted windows and a sliding side door.
