ODENTON - A woman in Anne Arundel County has been charged with murder in the case of her husband's death, originally reported as a suicide.

Members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department were dispatched to Pine Cove Avenue in Odenton on November 6, 2012 where they found 45-year-old Jerome Vorden Wood with a stab wound to his upper torso. Wood was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he later died.

Detectives called to the scene conducted interviews and believed the injury was not self-inflicted as it was reported. The chief medical examiner in Baltimore has also since ruled the cause of death to be a stab wound to the upper torso -- labeled the death a homicide.

Thursday, 38-year-old Donna Mills Wood turned herself in to authorities. She's charged with first degree murder.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Vince Carbonaro of the homicide unit at 410-222-3453 or contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610.
