ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - Two men are behind bars and expected to be charged in the death of a 30-year-old Anne Arundel County man.
Annapolis police say the victim, Howard Durley, was shot around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night in the 1900 block of Copeland Street.
Durley was pronounced dead on the scene.
After questioning several witnesses, police have arrested 19-year-old William Chase of Capital Heights and 25-year-old Charles Spriggs of Annapolis.
An investigation has revealed that the shooting was not random but stemmed from a relationship the victim had with a woman.
"I am thankful for the thorough and quick work by our detectives and for the help provided by the State's Attorney's Office, " said Annapolis Police Chief Michael Pristoop .
Police also report that both suspects will be charged with first degree murder, first degree assault, and related handgun charges.
