ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Police in Annapolis are looking for those responsible for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of items from parked cars over the last few days.
Police say sometime between 6:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. Saturday, someone stole a laptop and bag, worth about $900, from a GMC pickup truck parked in the 900 block of Forest Hills Avenue.
The victim told police that his truck had been locked, but the window was down about 4 inches.
Also between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Friday, someone broke a passenger side window and stole a Cole Haan purse from a Nissan Murano in the Eastport Shopping Center. The purse and it's contents were valued at about $520.
Sometime between 8:00 a.m. Thursday and 3:00 p.m. Sunday, someone stole a Garmin GPS unit from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Monroe Street.
Police are urging residents to lock their cars and to take valuables and electronics out of your parked vehicles after a rash of thefts from unlocked cars.
