CROWNSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Police are investigating a burglary at the Anne Arundel County Food Bank where robbers stole computer equipment but apparently no food.
Police were called to the 30,000-square-foot food bank on Friday to investigate. The computer equipment that was taken is used to track pick up and delivery schedules as well as inventory.
Food bank officials say this was the worst time of year for the break-in to take place. The staff needs to write reports on how they spent grant money and how much food the food bank gave away. The holiday season is also the busiest time of the year for the food bank.
Burglars apparently broke a rear window to get in to the building.
