Teen charged in armed robbery at Marley Station Mall

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - A 16-year-old boy is behind bars after police say he robbed a man at gunpoint for his tennis shoes Friday night.

According to Anne Arundel County Police, the robbery happened just before 10:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Marley Station Mall at 7900 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

When officers arrived on the scene and located the victim, they were told that a man displayed a handgun to the victim and told him to hand over his shoes.

Police report that the victim gave the gunman the shoes.  The suspect then reportedly ran away.

Based on a description given to police by the victim, police located a 16-year-old boy in the area that matched the profile.

The victim's shoes were found near the suspect when police caught up to him.

Jesse Scrivner of the 700 block of Crucible Court in Glen Burnie was arrested and charged with robbery as an adult.
