GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - A 15-year-old had been arrested and charged for setting a trash can on fire in his Anne Arundel County high school.
Chief Michael Cox with the Anne Arundel Fire Department released in a statment that the teen intentionally set the fire at Glen Burnie High School around 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday.
School staff extinguished the fire by the time fire crews arrived at the school.
Fire Arson and Explosive Investigators responded to the scene after it was suspected that the fire was set on purpose.
The investigation revealed a suspect who they identified and interviewed.
The teen is charged with first degree Arson, second degree Malicious Burning and Reckless Endangerment.
