HANOVER, Md. - A 15-year-old was beaten and robbed by a group of teenagers at Arundel Mills Mall Saturday.
According to police, the boy was walking in the mall around 9:25 p.m. when a group of six teenagers passed him. One person exchanged words with the victim and punched him. Police said when he tried to defend himself the rest of the group surrounded him and assaulted him.
One of the suspects took the victim’s shopping bags and the group ran from the mall. Police and mall security were able to catch three of the suspects but the other three got away.
Police have two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old in custody. They are charged as juveniles with robbery, assault and theft. They were released to guardians.
The victim received minor injuries and was turned over to his father.
Police continue to search for the remaining three suspects.
