HARMANS, Md. - A 44-year-old man was shot and killed in Harmans, Md., Thursday night and Anne Arundel County homicide detectives are looking for the person responsible.
Police have identified the victim as 44-year-old Rene Filsdelfo Levia-Archilla, of Baltimore. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.
Around 7:45 p.m. Halloween night, officers from the Western District found Levia-Archilla in the 7400 block of Railroad Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, Anne Arundel County police said.
Levia-Archilla and a friend met another person in the industrial area shortly before the shooting, police said.
Detectives believe the third person pulled a gun and shot the victim as part of a robbery attempt. Additional information reveals the victim responded to an advertisement on Craigslist to purchase a vehicle from the suspect. The victim's friend ran away and was unharmed. The shooter drove away in an unknown vehicle.
The suspect is being described as a white male, 30-40 years old, approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium to heavy build, black, crew cut style hair and a five o’clock shadow.
The suspect vehicle is described as a silver or white mid-size, four door sport utility vehicle (SUV). Anyone with information about this crime can contact Metro Crime Stoppers or the Anne Arundel County Police homicide unit at 410-222-3566 .
