Police: Man tried to carjack woman

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County Police are asking for your help to find the man responsible for trying to carjack a woman at a Shell station.

At about 12:08 p.m., Tuesday, officers responded to the Shell station in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway for reports of an attempted carjacking.

Officers spoke with the 26-year-old victim, who reported that an unknown male suspect approached her as she was walking to her vehicle. The suspect displayed a handgun and attempted to steal her vehicle.

The woman refused and pushed the suspect and ran towards the business while the suspect fled in the direction of the AMF Bowling.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, about 5'10" tall, 200 pounds with a light complexion, short hair and a beard, wearing a blue shirt and dark jeans.
