GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - A 22-year-old is facing several burglary charges after police say he tried breaking into a Glen Burnie home twice in one night.
Anne Arundel County Police say they were called to the Unit block of Jackson Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
A man who lives in the house told police he was in an upstairs bedroom when he heard someone trying to break into a window in the back of the home.
Police say the homeowner went to see what was going on and realized the suspect, Alexander Rene Villatoro, had gained partial entry through a dining room window.
The homeowner hit Villatoro with something causing him to run away from the house.
While officers were searching for the accused burglar, they noticed him heading back toward the house. Police say Villatoro tried entering the house again.
Officers were able to catch up to him and make an arrest. Villatoro was also found with drugs on him, according to police.
He is facing several charges, including two felony counts of first and third degree burglary.
