PASADENA, Md. (WMAR) - A Glen Burnie man was arrested and charged after police say he held his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint in a bedroom.

At about 10:00 p.m. on Friday Anne Arundel County Police responded to a report of a man armed with a handgun inside a residence in the 300 block of Maryland Avenue in Pasadena.

Additional information received from a caller indicated that a man had forced his way into the home and was holding a 38-year-old female at gunpoint.

That same called said that the suspect was his mother's ex-boyfriend, Timothy Gray, 19, was holding her in a bedroom and that he had threatened him with the gun before forcing his mother into the bedroom.

Officers entered the home where they met Gray at the threshold of the bedroom and could hear a woman screaming inside.

Officers could not see Gray's hands and after numerous verbal commands, ordering him to show his hands, an officer used his Taser to subdue Gray, who was then taken into custody.

A handgun was recovered from the scene.

Gray was charged with first degree assault, burglary, reckless endangerment and numerous weapons offenses.
