PASADENA, Md. - Anne Arundel County Police are looking for suspects in an assault carjacking that happened Tuesday afternoon in Pasadena.
Officers responded to the area of Whitaker Road and Liberty Circle after a Pasadena man reported that he had been approached by several males while parking his SUV in Freetown Village.
According to the victim, one of the males came up to his SUV and assaulted him and then dragged him out of his vehicle, at which point several other males in the area came over and joined in on the assault.
The victim also said his car was stolen during the assault by several of the suspects.
The victim told police that he tried to run away from the suspects, but they caught him and assaulted him again.
Officers were able to find the victim’s SUV in Freetown Village and found one of the suspects as well.
The suspect, identified only as a 16-year-old male from Baltimore, was taken into custody, but all other suspects have not been found.
Police are continuing to investigate and are still looking for the remaining suspects described as teenaged black males wearing dark clothing.
