SEVERN, Md. (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man after they say he tried to kill a man.
At about 2:00 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the 1700 block of Severn Road for reports of a shooting.
Officers spoke with several witnesses, who reported two male suspects entered their backyard while they were outside. One suspect displayed a handgun at the 19-year-old male victim, announced a robbery and shot at him before fleeing the area on foot.
The victim was not struck, however, the suspects then stole the victim's car and drove off.
The victim and witnesses positively identified Lorenzo Derrick Hall, Jr. as the person who shot at them.
The identity of the second suspect is still under investigation.
Hall was charged with attempted second degree murder, robbery, armed robbery, reckless endangerment, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and numerous handgun offenses.
