ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Police are trying to find the gunmen in a Sunday afternoon shootout in Anne Arundel County. It happened on Copeland Street around 1 p.m. in Annapolis.
There were no injuries, although bullets struck two different townhomes. Two different types of bullet casings were found.
Devera Pounds lives in the neighborhood with her children. Her son heard the shots. The circumstances have her worried.
“It was a lot of gunshots,” Pounds said. “It's scary, for one thing, and for it to be happening in broad daylight. It's ridiculous.”
One of the big concerns for residents in the area is that the shots were fired right by the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis.
Anne Arundel County police have responded to six “shots fired” calls in the neighborhood this year.
