DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. -  

Anne Arundel County police identified a woman found dead in Davidsonville Friday morning.

Police say the woman is 37-year old Nicole Burgess. They are calling the death a homicide.

Burgess’  body was found by two friends around 11:30 a.m.  Friday in a home in the 3300 block of Royale Glen Court.  Police say her body had obvious signs of trauma. A dead dog was also found in the home.

Police are working to determine how and why the woman and her dog died.
