GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Police have identified the three people killed in an apparent murder suicide in Glen Burnie Sunday morning.
Police say the male victim is Andrew Scott Hoffman, 27, of Glen Burnie. Hoffman was a firefighter and paramedic in Baltimore City.
"Our hearts are saddened with news of the tragic death of FF/PM Andrew Hoffman," Fire Chief Jeffrey Segal said in a statement.
Segal said the third generation firefighter had served Baltimore City since 2006. "We offer sincere condolences to the Hoffman family as they grieve this terrible loss. They are in the thoughts of every member of the Baltimore City Fire Department today," he stated.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Armistead Road around 1:35 a.m for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found three people with gunshot wounds inside the home. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Robinson was one of the deceased and that he had a relationship with the female victim. Police say there is no evidence of forced entry into the home and the victims and suspect knew each other.
Police are investigating the deaths as a domestic incident and say there is no danger to the community.
