PASADENA, Md. (WMAR) - Officials with the Anne Arundel County Police Department say a man charged with several traffic violations in Charlotte, NC on Sunday is connected to the death investigation of his father.
Darius Keenan was found dead at his Harlem Avenue home Sunday, and his vehicle was missing. Officials say a nationwide lookout was broadcast, and later that day, his vehicle was found by members of the North Carolina Highway Patrol. The vehicle was stopped, and officials say the driver was identified as 26-year-old Darius Keenan Jr.
Homicide investigators have been working the case and have yet to share details about the 50-year-old’s death. Darius Keenan Sr.'s body was transported to the office of the chief medical examiner in Baltimore earlier this week to determine a cause and manner of death. Officials say the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
Members of the Anne Arundel Count Police Department's homicide unit have issued several search and seizure warrants since Darius Keenan Jr.’s arrest, and they say they have recovered evidence linking him to his father’s death.
